Job SummaryPipe Foreman will supervise the lay out, assembly and installation of various sizes and types of pipe.Duties and Responsibilities:Studies project specifications with project superintendent to plan procedures for pipe installation.Produce work schedules in accordance with the availability of employees, contractors and monitor the attendance of crewCoordinates and supervises daily activities for crew according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnelOperates assigned heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill large pipe and culvert.Inspects work site to determine proper installation and survey for potential hazards or safety concerns to minimize risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.Responsible for crew safety and enforces company policies.Plans pipe installation to reduce inference with other project activities and traveling public.Inspects work to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications.Uses instruments such as lasers, grade rods, eye levels and transit levels to set appropriate grade for pipe installation.Maintains and reports employees time.Qualifications:2 years of experience (Leadership role is a plus)Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materialsKnowledge of construction best practices, equipment maintenance, and use, and OSHA guidelinesAbility to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to othersFlexibility: Ability to work in several diverse locations is pertinent, as site locations may change.Dedicated and hard working.Must comply with Drug-Free workplace requirements Strength and Endurance: Labor work is physically demanding, and a level of physical fitness is required.
