According to established procedures, cleans and services building areas. Performs a variety of environmental service duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.
+ Cleans assigned area in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental procedures.
+ Cleans and prepares assigned area's dismissals and transfers in a timely manner to expedite patient admissions.
+ Performs linen duties when assigned.
+ Assists in maintaining an inventory of equipment and supplies relative to cleaning activities for par stocking purposes Moves furniture, equipment and supplies in and around hospital departments.
+ Keep housekeeping closet locked.
+ Keep housekeeping carts locked.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction.
+ Ability to speak, read, write and to follow simple written and oral instructions.
+ Must be able to use proper body mechanics when lifting.
+ Able to do work in spite of frequent interruptions.
+ Minimum six months experience in similiar hospital or commercial housekeeping environment preferred.
+ Knowledge of hospital housekeeping cleaning procedures and equipment preferred
+ HS or GED
