Description

Commercial Construction Foreman work with, and oversee work with, numerous system parts and mechanisms. This individual is responsible for planning, laying out, participating in, and supervising plumbing work on our commercial job sites. Our designers and draftsmen provide detailed prints that our foremen use to get the work done on time and according to plan.

Primary Duties:

Work directly with Project Managers to ensure project objectives, goals and timelines are met
Reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and plans to understand the layout/direction of job
Mentor and train mechanics, trainees and other foremen to build trust, team work and morale
Build and maintain strong relationships with GCs, personnel, and other subcontractors
Coordinate onsite manpower in order to perform efficient installs
Provide accurate projections and outlooks of job site status and requirements
Responsible for onsite disciplinary action with adherence to Company policies
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure required material is onsite
Manage field crews to ensure quality of work and a timely completion of assigned tasks
Identify and lead crews in efficient installation processes
Responsible for keeping accurate logs and daily job site reports
Complete jobs on time and within budget
Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner
Maintains a clean and safe work environment with the proper use of tools and related equipment

Qualifications:

Preferred 2 years experience as a foreman.
Preferred 4 years experience in the plumbing trade.
Thorough knowledge of plumbing theory, methods, practices, tools and equipment of the trade
Organizational skills to process required jobsite paperwork
Strong team building and leadership skills
Ability to take initiative and problem solve
Must possess basic hand tools
Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, lift and move heavy objects.
Ability to interact with multiple personality types while ensuring a positive outcome
Journeyman and/or Master license is a plus
