The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Planning, implementing and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs (30% travel/field time)

Assisting with laboratory testing assignments

Performing geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses

Preparing calculation packages

Assisting with the development of geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications

Preparing and presenting technical presentations of evaluation results to the internal team

Review geotechnical instrumentation and assist with the preparation of instrumentation monitoring reports.

Minimum Requirements

BS in Civil Engineering

EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Emphasis

Basic Knowledge of industry software such as GeoStudio, Texas, Grapher, and AutoCAD Civil3D

Field/Construction experience; dams experience a plus

Familiarity with design reports, drawings, and specifications

Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills

Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment

Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and flexibility

Resourceful, highly organized, and detail-oriented

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Effective time-management and interpersonal Skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Additional Information:

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $53k-80k.
