The primary responsibility of a Business Development Manager is for new account acquisition, set-up and maintenance. This position is accountable for growing the current book of business and achieving or exceeding goals.

  • Define profit center sales objectives and plan
  • Define target accounts and map activities of these accounts
  • Set strategies for business growth in sales, gross margin and profitability
  • Expand client base
  • Develop new features and benefits for our service
  • Develop full understanding of Peoplelink Assurelinkã process

  • Develop and provide solution-based options to clients
  • Effective utilization of blue sheets and green sheets in sales process
  • Utilize MHI Strategic & Conceptual selling methodology
  • Coordinate and conduct presentation/sales activity
  • Coordinate sales efforts with VP of Sales and Peoplelink Group brand verticals
  • Obtain job order requirements

Essential Skills and Functions

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities/projects
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and ability to effectively build relationships with clients and candidates

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle

Position Qualifications - KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Associate degree or High School diploma (or equivalent) with minimum 1-3 years of verifiable sales experience, preferably B2B selling
  • Experience in construction - Preferred
  • Experience in Staffing Agency - Preferred
  • Strong sales and operations
  • Willingness and ability to attend Miller Heiman SSCS training in 1st 6 months of employment
  • Strong affinity for business development, including service calls and marketing calls
  • A desire to increase business opportunities in your market by being actively involved in the community
  • Troubleshooting abilities to resolve problems or complaints of clients.
  • Strong communication and listening skills to apply a consultative sales process.
  • The ability to understand and apply basic business acumen and financial concepts
  • Strong PC skills as these are critical to your success in this role
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid Driver's License and ability to use personal vehicle daily to successfully perform job duties
